That's what my friend Andrea said in an argument about taking an impromptu road trip versus just chilling out and watching back to back B-grade movies.
Speaking of dumb movies, I went and saw
Carriers with a friend yesterday. I haven't really had time to sit down and think about it. But I think we always need to give movies some sort of creative space for them to be able to tell us a story. I can
suspend my disbelief on a few plotholes here and there, but not too much.
Bottomline is, this movie is not exceptionally good nor bad, but it has it's merits.
LOL. Why is he always hanging off something? LOL.Well, will you look at that? THIN. COTTON. SHIRTS. It's almost worth getting attacked by a crazy old lady on the bus.
Yeah, about that... On the bus ride to the movie house, this old lady kept asking the bus to stop and when it does, she won't get off. So after stopping three times, the bus driver yells at her to shut up or get off. AND THEN SHE PROCEEDS TO SWING HER CANE AT ANYONE WITHIN A TWO FEET RADIUS! Good thing she was a few rows behind me! She was escorted off the bus of course. And I pretended to be texting when she passed by me.
God, I'm such a huge coward. So after the movie, I went over to my aunt's house to babysit my cousins. How ironic is it that after watching a post apocalyptic film, I sit down with kids to watch three whole hours of the Disney Channel? And I discovered that my cousins (ages 3, 6 and 7) all have a thing for Demi Lovato. When
Sonny with a Chance came on, they ~*touch*~ the screen every time she has a close up. IT WAS HILARIOUS. I think I like Demi Lovato. Props to Disney for promoting someone who isn't typically pretty.
And that was how my weekend went. How are you guys?
